I’m Giving Away 100 Kindle Copies of My Book—Here’s Why

I’m giving away 100 Kindle copies of my book, Take a Look… There’s Still Money All Around You, through Goodreads. Here’s why I created the giveaway—and why the book’s message about opportunity, leverage, and possibility matters right now.

CULTURE & TECHNOLOGY

I’ve decided to give away 100 Kindle copies of my book, Take a Look… There’s Still Money All Around You, through Goodreads.

The giveaway went live on September 11 and runs through September 30, 2026. It’s available to U.S. readers, and Goodreads will randomly select the winners.

But this journal entry isn’t really about the mechanics of a giveaway.

It’s about why I wanted to do it in the first place.

Sometimes the Opportunity Is Still There

One of the ideas at the heart of this book is something I’ve come back to repeatedly in my own thinking:

Sometimes the opportunities are still there. We just aren’t looking at them the right way.

It’s easy to look at the current economy, technology, automation, artificial intelligence, rising costs, and an increasingly competitive world and conclude that the window of opportunity is closing.

For some people, it can genuinely feel that way.

But I believe there is another way to look at it.

Every period of disruption creates challenges. It also creates openings.

The difficult part is recognizing those openings—and understanding how to position yourself to take advantage of them.

That is a major reason I wrote Take a Look… There’s Still Money All Around You.

From Hustle to Leverage

The book grew out of a question that I think is becoming increasingly important:

What happens when working harder isn’t enough?

For years, the answer to financial pressure has often been some version of work more, hustle harder, pick up another job, build another side hustle.

There is nothing inherently wrong with hard work. Hard work matters.

But there is a limit to how much one person can accomplish by simply exchanging more time and energy for money.

That’s where leverage comes in.

Leverage changes the equation.

Technology can create leverage. Knowledge can create leverage. Content can create leverage. Relationships can create leverage. Systems can create leverage. And now, artificial intelligence is creating another layer of leverage that was difficult for most individuals to access only a few years ago.

The goal isn’t to stop working.

It’s to start thinking differently about what your work can produce beyond the immediate moment in which you perform it.

Why Give Away 100 Copies?

I could have simply promoted the book for sale.

Instead, I wanted to put it directly into the hands of more readers.

A giveaway creates a different kind of opportunity. Someone who might hesitate to spend money on a book can take a chance on it without that financial barrier.

And that’s particularly important with this book because I don’t expect every reader to agree with every idea inside it.

I want people to think.

I want someone to read a chapter and start looking at their own situation differently.

Maybe they recognize a skill they haven’t been using.

Maybe they see an opportunity in something they’ve been overlooking.

Maybe they realize that a problem they’ve been complaining about could actually point toward an opportunity.

Maybe they begin thinking about how AI can help them multiply their efforts instead of simply worrying about AI replacing them.

If the book sparks that kind of thinking in even a few readers, the giveaway is worth doing.

The World Is Changing—So Our Thinking Has to Change Too

Artificial intelligence has accelerated a conversation that was already underway about work, entrepreneurship, creativity, and economic opportunity.

There are legitimate reasons to be concerned.

But I don’t think fear should be the only response.

Whenever technology changes the way work gets done, it also changes the value of certain skills, creates new needs, and opens new markets.

The challenge is learning how to see those changes before they become obvious to everyone else.

That’s part of what I mean by looking again.

The opportunity may not look like the opportunity you were expecting.

It may not arrive as a traditional job.

It may not require a large amount of capital.

It may not even exist in a form that was possible a few years ago.

Sometimes you have to recognize the possibility first and figure out the model afterward.

What I Hope Readers Take Away

I don’t want readers to finish this book simply feeling motivated for a few hours.

I want them to become more observant.

Look at your skills.

Look at your knowledge.

Look at your relationships.

Look at the problems around you.

Look at the technology available to you.

Look at what people already spend money on.

Look at what is changing.

And then ask a different question:

Where is the opportunity?

Not Is there an opportunity?

Where is it?

That shift in perspective can be powerful.

Take a Look Again

Writing a book is one thing.

Putting it in front of readers is another.

This giveaway is my way of opening that door a little wider.

Because I genuinely believe that we’re living through a period where the definition of opportunity is changing.

And when the rules change, sometimes the smartest thing you can do is stop, look around, and reconsider what you’ve been taking for granted.

You may discover that you’re not out of options.

You may simply be overlooking them.

Take a look.
